Moore definitely romanticises the health care systems of the countries he profiles, but the most profound and disturbing info is about the system in this country - the shady stuff that underlies what makes the health care industry so messed up here.

You should see it.

And, by the way, I will miss you at work SOOOOO much. So many great people leaving in such a short span of time. Not fair.... to me ;)Terezahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01537776511607080977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8184774982505727638.post-89627101592244488912007-08-13T21:33:00.000-07:002007-08-13T21:33:00.000-07:00Somebody I know needed emergency surgery in Europe...Somebody I know needed emergency surgery in Europe somewhere and the hospital staff nearly paid HIM for stopping by.

A Canadian I know living in the good ol' US of A commented on how screwed up it is to be asked how you're going pay before you're asked how you're doing when you go to the doctor.

That's messed up.

MK5K: why wouldn't you like "Sicko"? Michael Moore not your kind of guy?Karinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09678914679733770434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8184774982505727638.post-2151825910197058632007-08-13T01:53:00.000-07:002007-08-13T01:53:00.000-07:00You can't say "Manager From Hell"!!! In fact, even when you move. They should have to move with you. They made a choice to serve humankind, and by God they need to follow through.

I haven't seen "Sicko" and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like it. On the other hand, I have seen universal tax-supported health care, and I sure liked that.Michael5000https://www.blogger.com/profile/10148584819327475239noreply@blogger.com
